Our goal is to help Atlanta homeless families by finding them a safe place they can call home and providing
rent for a year. Also, we aim to provide educational opportunities for their children in the form of
learning field trips and scholarships.
How We'll Do It
By raffling off $290,000 in scholarships. Every child and young adult in Georgia is eligible. Get your raffle ticket now:
The Families and Young Adults for the Future Raffle
Right now there are close to 5,000 families in Atlanta who desperately want a place to call home
but who spend night after night in a shelter. At the same time, there are thousands of Atlanta area Realtors and landlords who have been hit hard by the current real-estate market and need tenants.
We're here to provide a solution to both problems. And weíve already begun.
We carefully screened prospective tenants and selected two families. One is a family of seven from Croatia working hard to live the American dream, while the other is a single mother and her son from Decatur.
Next we found interested landlords. To these landlords we pay a fair-market value for the rental property, as well as a security deposit and a 10% maintenance fee.
The Raffle
The raffle is our way to pay for this rent. This raffle alone will house 5 families for a full year in private residences. It will also provide (4) $5,000 scholarships for the children of the families we have placed.
Raffle prizes include:
(3) $50,000 scholarships
(2) $25,000 scholarships
(5) $10,000 scholarships
(8) $5,000 scholarships
All scholarships will be set up through AG Edwards in accordance with IRS regulations and can
be made payable to any college, university, technical college or vocational school. This is an excellent
opportunity for any child or young adult looking to prepare for the future and further their education.
Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased by completing an order form online. The last day to buy tickets is April 30th. Winners will be notified by phone and email. |
